Welcome to UMDS
UMDS is a society that brings together student actors, writers, directors, producers and creatives to make some of Manchester’s most vibrant theatre. We offer multiple performance opportunities, producing three seasons of theatre throughout the academic year, as well as scratch nights, workshops and many other creative opportunities. Alongside these, we host regular socials where you can meet like-minded individuals.

2024/25 Aims
Ultimately as a society we will strive to provide as many creative opportunities as possible whilst ensuring we establish an accessible and inclusive space. We aim for our society to be one that represents a variety of voices and allows all of our members to be able to express themselves freely and creatively. ​
